Family Tree Expert uses the latest genealogy software to access census returns, registers of births marriages and deaths, parish and military records, emigration and immigration records, etc.
You can receive your charts either as email attachments or beautifully printed on heavyweight paper.
David Horton is the principal and research director. You will be allocated a dedicated researcher who will remain your contact throughout.

Can I order different options at different times?

Yes, as long as you start with the Main Ancestors, you can add other options together or separately at any time.

What if my family members cannot be traced?
A
The ancestors with uncertain records will probably take longer to research! However if significant parts of the tree cannot be found, a reduction in price will be offered.

How long will my family tree take?

You will receive your family tree within 2-3 weeks on average

How do I know the facts are correct?
A
We check every entry multiple times to ensure that the ancestors are really yours. If by any chance you notice something you think is wrong, we will correct and reprint it free of charge

Does it matter if my ancestors come from outside UK?

No. Familytree.expert can research families across the world. There are generally more records available for English-speaking countries.

What means of communication is normally used?

Email. If you wish to be contacted by phone, you can request this by providing your phone number.

What information will I have to give to get started?
A
If you can give as much information as possible about yourself, your parents and your four grandparents, i.e. dates and places of birth and death, that will normally be sufficient to ensure the research proceeds along the correct paths. The researcher may ask you to verify certain information, again to check the correct branch has been identified.

How do I pay?

We ask for £50 deposit with each order, and the balance when you receive your charts. You can pay by Paypal online, or by sending a cheque

Could I do my family tree myself?
A
Yes, you could, but unless you're a trained expert, it could take a very long time, and you could easily make mistakes by following the wrong line. It would also cost considerably more than our charges in website subscription fees.
